Cranmore Park - Solihull
On the edge of Birmingham—the beating heart of the Midlands—Cranmore Park in Solihull offers a first-class setting for connection, collaboration, and events of all kinds. With extensive flexible space across multiple rooms, it remains a landmark venue for conferences, exhibitions, and celebrations.
In 2025, LKS partnered with AIS, the facility management team, to bring the entire building back into compliance following a failed fire risk assessment. Delivered in four carefully managed phases, the project ensured the venue met the latest fire safety standards while remaining operational throughout.
The process began with a detailed site survey, carried out in close collaboration with AIS. This allowed us to assess the building thoroughly and specify the exact products and solutions required.
From there, LKS produced a comprehensive programme of works covering every stage—from sourcing and delivering hardware, to the removal of non-compliant elements, to the installation of new fully compliant fire door sets and ironmongery. Clear cost projections and timelines were provided at the outset, giving the client complete transparency and confidence.
Our skilled team delivered the installation to the highest standard. Working in partnership with Hoppe UK, specialist ironmongery was fitted, including ARRONE AR1500 overhead surface-mounted door closers—providing a controlled 180° closing angle—and ARRONE AR3626 straight pull handles, ensuring both safety and usability across the site.
To further support the venue’s operations, we designed and installed a bespoke master key system in collaboration with ABUS UK. This tailored system provides secure, selective access across the entire building and was manufactured in-house at our Birmingham trade counter.
Finally, every door underwent a rigorous commissioning and sign-off process. At LKS, this means individually inspecting each installation to ensure full compliance as well as meeting our own standards for safety, performance, and presentation.
